Every time I make this, people ask for the recipe. I figured why not turn it into a spot you can always refer back to. I’m not like the other bloggers. I’m not going to give you my life story before actually getting you to good shit on how to make it.
I will tell you why I love this shake. When I go anywhere and order a shake, a full fat, not great for you, but oh so fucking delicious ice cream shake, it’s Peanut Butter Chocolate. So I wanted to replicate that in something actually packed with nutrients.
I used to only use Chocolate or Vanilla Protein powder from Le-Vel because it had caffeine in it, but obviously, I can’t drink that anymore. I’ve switched to Orgain because a lot of places on the internet said it was the best during trying to conceive, and/or recommended by their doctor.
Since taking these pictures, I’ve also switched to Orgain Collagen Peptides. I’ve also recently switched to PB2 vs. regular peanut butter due to less crap and calories. I’ll show you both Macros below.
Trust me when I say that this will change your routine for the better. It’s not 21 Day Meal plan compliant but I need convenience and I truly enjoy having a hefty protein shake like this. It keeps me full for hours and it tastes like fucking heaven. You should know this is a meal type shake. Not one of those premade things, or just protein powder and a liquid. This is a MEAL. It is higher in calories which you can obviously cut some out by using the PB2, using only half a banana, and using a lower calorie milk option. Some almond milk flavors are only 30 ish calories. I choose one a little higher based on taste.
Recipe
8 oz Almond Milk (you can use your preferred milk)
4 oz of Iced Coffee/Cold Brew
1 Banana (I freeze them)
2 1/2 scoops of Orgain Chocolate Peanut Butter
2 scoops Orgain Collagen
2 Tbsp Pb2 Peanut Butter powder
Handful of ice
Blend it up!
Add-Ins that I use for fertility + other benefits
Handful of almonds
Chia Seeds (these aren’t required)
Throw allllll this good shit in the blender. Mine usually comes out to about 30 oz once all blended. It will be the best shake you’ve ever had plus it’s actually nutrient dense. It’s filling and tastes absolutely delicious. It’s like having a milkshake for breakfast but it’s beneficial, haha.
Here’s the macros for these shakes with the peanut butter variance:

For reference on macros, here’s 2 traditional shakes (remember my shake is about 30 oz)

How fucking nuts is that?! Especially because people tend to eat shakes AFTER a meal as a dessert. That’s almost an entire day of calories in one shake. My protein shake tastes exactly the same and it’s actually filled with nutrients.
Try it, tag me in pictures, tell me what you think!
Update on this, I no longer calorie count. But I alternate eggs/avocado toast, overnight oats, and this shake throughout the week.
